Use & Care Instructions
First Time Use Instructions
Remove the lacquer by wiping the wok with a tablespoon of oil and placing on a medium to high heat. Proceed to remove the lacquer with a paper towel and repeat the process until completely removed. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Condition the wok by placing it on a medium heat and wiping a thin layer of cooking oil onto the entire surface with a paper towel (use oven gloves). Continue wiping with additional paper towels until little or no colour lifts o . Reduce the heat to low and allow the remaining oil to absorb into the pan for 15 minutes. The wok will darken and change colour. If the inside surface looks dry, wipe it with another thin coating of oil. Turn o ff the heat and allow the wok to cool. Do not immerse in water. Reheat the pan over medium heat and repeat the conditioning process one more time. The wok is then properly seasoned. If you are not using your wok right away, apply a thin layer of oil before storing.
Care Instructions
Never preheat the wok without oil. For best results, select the right size hob ring for your cookware piece and position it over the centre. This minimises overheating and discolouration occuring. Discolouration is not covered by the guarantee. While the wok is still warm post use, run hot water over the inside and gently scrape off any food with a sponge or other soft bristle dishwashing brush using a small amount of mild detergent as required. Always handwash thoroughly after each use (not dishwasher safe). Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive wool. Do not immerse in water for long periods of time. Repeat conditioning from time to time to maintain the performance of the wok coating. Always apply a light coating of oil before storing to prevent rust. Rusted woks are not covered by the guarantee. We do not recommend stacking cookware when stored as this can scratch the surface. If stacking is required, place a paper towel between each piece.
Safety Precautions
Do not exceed medium heat levels.
